“Art is inclusive. It belongs to all people from all walks of life” – NCCA Chairman Lizaso

CITY OF MALOLOS- “Art is not exclusive for some people. Art is inclusive. It includes all. It should be for all: market vendors, tricycle drivers, students, government officials. It belongs to all people from all walks of life.†This was the message of Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) President and National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) Chairman Arsenio “Nick” – J. Lizaso to all the awardees and attendees of the “2020 Parangal sa Kislap ng Sining” – held at the Nicanor Abelardo Auditorium, Hiyas ng Bulacan Cultural Center in this city yesterday. Lizaso narrated how the CCP brings art closer to Filipinos all over the country by conducting concerts with the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra, Bayanihan Dance Company, Philippine Madrigal Singers, and UST Symphony Orchestra. Meanwhile, Governor Daniel R. Fernando thanked and congratulated the Kislap ng Sining awardees in his message delivered by his Chief of Staff Atty. Jayric Amil for their promotion and undying love for the province’s arts and culture. “Mula noon, hanggang ngayon, ang mayamang sining ang saksi sa bunga ng lahat ng pagsubok, tagumpay at kabiguan ng ating bansang matagal nakipagdigma para sa ating demokrasya. Bilang mga tagapagmana nito, nasa ating kamay ang hamon at pananagutan na panatilihin ang kislap, dangal at katanyagan ng Sining ng Bulacan upang maipasa sa marami pang henerasyong susunod sa atin,” the governor said. The 2020 Kislap ng Sining sa Bulacan awardees includes Niño Angelo A. Campo from Marilao for Literature; Albert S. Aguilar from Hagonoy for Music; Crisanto B. Aquino from Hagonoy for Film; Marcelo H. Del Pilar Memorial School of Bulakan for Theater and Literature; and FCPC Baliktanaw and Kenyo Street Fam from the City of San Jose del Monte for Dance. Also, the municipalities of Guiguinto, Baliwag and Hagonoy and the City of San Jose del Monte were recognized as Outstanding Local Government Units for promoting arts and culture in their respective localities. The Kislap ng Sining sa Bulacan, which is an initiative of the Provincial History, Arts, Culture and Tourism Office, recognizes Bulakenyo artists’ outstanding talents in the field of arts and culture. It gives acknowledgment to Bulakenyos who won national and international awards, and mavens who are given recognition in different field of arts.###
