Alvarado and Fernando, among Golden Globe’s Outstanding Filipino Achievers of 2015
CITY OF MALOLOS – Bulacan Governor Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado was recognized once again as one of the “Outstanding Filipino Achievers” in the field of public service together with Vice Gov. Daniel R. Fernando in the Golden Globe Annual Awards (GGAA) for Business Excellence 2015 held at the Centennial Grand Ballroom, Manila Hotel last April 11, 2015.
Conferred by the Golden Globe Awards Council, the medal of distinction and plaque of recognition was given to Alvarado and Fernando because of their significant achievements and tireless dedication in serving the Bulakenyos that made Bulacan as the leading province in Central Luzon.
“Lubos na nakatataba ng puso na patuloy tayong kinikilala mula sa ating pagtitiyaga at pagpupunyagi na i-angat ang antas ng kabuhayan ng ating mga mamamayan. Isang malaking karangalan para sa akin at sa buong lalawigan ng Bulacan na muling kilalanin dahil sa ating dedikadong pagpupunyagi at pagkakaisa tungo sa kaunlaran sa tulong ng Poong Maykapal,” the governor said.
Alvarado, who is also the Chairman of the Regional Development Council in Central Luzon, also said that the continuous progress of Bulacan will not be possible without the help of the exemplary leadership and efforts of his partner, Fernando.
Further, the province of Bulacan under the administration of Alvarado and Fernando is known for its numerous awards including the Good Financial Housekeeping Passer of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) for 2014, Rice Achievers Awardee for three consecutive years, Gawad Kalasag Hall of Famer for Best Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council and many more.
The awarding ceremony highlighted the remarkable achievements and triumphs of the awardees over their countless hardships in life that inspires other fellowmen to strive more and succeed in their chosen crafts.
Other awardees were Senator Cynthia Villar and Senator Vicente Sotto III (public service), Daniel Matsunaga (Arts and Entertainment), Dra. Charity Gaile Santiago (Dentistry), and Engr. Nila Malonzo (Entrepreneurship).
The Golden Globe Award is conferred to companies that have achieved business excellence which also pays tribute to the personalities in different fields of public service, entrepreneurship, entertainment, journalism, medicine, music, arts and culture.
