Bulacan gov receives ‘Most Outstanding Filipino in Public Service’ award

CITY OF MALOLOS – Bulacan Governor Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado truly lives up to his vow to provide efficient and quality public service to Bulakenyos thus resulting to additional recognition, the ‘Most Outstanding Filipino in Public Service’ award conferred by the prestigious Gawad Amerika Awards 2017.

On behalf of Alvarado, Vice Gov. Daniel R. Fernando, who was also an awardee, received the trophy during the 16th Annual Awards Night at the Celebrity Centre International in Hollywood, California, USA last November 18, 2017.

The provincial chief executive was elated for the additional award and promises to continue providing quality and efficient public service to the Bulakenyos.

“Ang inyo pong lingkod ay lubos na nagpapasalamat sa mga bumubuo ng Gawad Amerika Awards dahil sa kanilang pagbibigay ng halaga sa ating mga pagsusumikap. Ang pagkilala pong ito ay hindi lamang para sa inyong lingkod kundi sa lahat ng Bulakenyo na ating buong pusong pinaglilingkuran,” Alvarado said.

The said award is an addition to the growing number of recognitions received by Alvarado that includes Outstanding Governorship Award, Outstanding Filipino Achievers in the Field of Public Service, Father Neri Satur Award for Environmental Heroism – Angat Dam Reservation Development Program & Program on Climate Change Commission, Ulirang Ama Award and Sandugo Outstanding Local Government Executive Award among others.

Meanwhile, Fernando received the ‘Lakandula Award’, one of the highest recognitions given in the Gawad Amerika Awards. Prior to this, he was also awarded the ‘Most Outstanding Public Servant’ in 2012.

The said awards program is being given by Gawad Amerika Foundation, a Fil-Am non-profit organization that honors the successes of young achievers and exemplary citizens who make a difference in their lives and in their communities.
