Thousands of Bulakenyos to receive free medical services from PMA medical mission

CITY OF MALOLOS – Bulakenyos all over the province are expected to benefit from the four-day medical and surgical mission initiated by the Philippine Medical Association, Medical Mission Foundation of Greater St. Louis, Missouri, United States of America on January 30 to February 2, 2017 at the Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium in this city.

The joint medical and surgical mission of the Provincial Government of Bulacan and the PMA Medical Mission Foundation of Greater St. Louis will be participated by 55 Filipino and American doctors and nurses.

The medical team will offer free medical services including consultations and check-ups on children, adult and senior citizens, dental and ophthalmology services, minor operation on cysts and major operations on goiter, gall bladder, hernia and myoma.

According to Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado, the province is more than grateful to the association of doctors for extending their helpful hand to the less fortunate Bulakenyos for five consecutive years now.

“Bagaman at sinisikap natin na lalong pagbutihin ang serbisyo ng ating mga pampublikong ospital, malaki ang ating pasasalamat na may mga taong katulad nila, na kahit pa nasa dayuhang lupa ay bukas-palad na tumutulong sa ating mga kalalawigan na nangangailangan ng tulong-medikal. Ang Panginoon na ang bahalang gumanti sa kanilang mga kabutihan,” Alvarado said.

The governor also said that the province is set to welcome the delegates of the PMA medical mission through performances of Bulakenyo talents on January 29, 2017 at The Pavillion, Hiyas ng Bulacan Convention Center also in this city wherein Dr. Recita Roa, president of the foundation, is expected to give her message.
