Four Bulakenyo centenarians receive recognition and cash incentives from the Provincial Government of Bulacan

CITY OF MALOLOS- Coinciding the celebration of Filipino Elderly Week this October, four Bulakenyo centenarians received plaques of recognition and appreciation and cash incentives worth P10,000 from the Provincial Government of Bulacan.
Through Zoom Conferencing led by Governor Daniel R. Fernando at the Official Residence in this city, the four centenarians that were recognized include Rita Intal from Bulihan, City of Malolos-First District, Felicidad Dela Cruz of Banga First, Plaridel-Second District, Florentina Maglaque of Salangan, San Miguel-Third District and Melencia Francisco of Saog, Marilao-Fourth District.
They also received baskets of fruits from the provincial governor through the assistance of a Community Affairs Officer IV of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO).
Fernando said, it is good to be thankful to God for the blessing of long life for these centenarians wherein as parents, they are still able to guide and be with their families for a long period of time.
“Mahalin natin sila habang buhay na kapiling pa natin sila” he said.
Moreover, 91 Bulakenyo centenarians from different cities and towns in the province are scheduled to be recognized and received cash incentives as well.
Also, Vice Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado, Chairman on Committee on Social Services, Board Member Alexis Castro and President of Federation of Senior Citizens Associations of the Philippines-Bulacan Chapter Abelardo Ramos gave their messages on the said first virtual activity of the Provincial Government for the yearly provision of benefits in accordance to the law that shows love, appreciation and respect to elderly people. ###
