Bulacan to recognize a new roster of Dangal ng Lipi awardees

CITY OF MALOLOS – A new set of outstanding Bulakenyos will be recognized once again by the Provincial Government of Bulacan through the Provincial Planning and Development Office as the search for Gawad Dangal ng Lipi officially opened this May.

Governor Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado said this annual recognition will honor distinguished Bulakenyo modern-day heroes who have excelled in different fields in public service, professional, community service, entrepreneur, education, Science and technology, arts and culture, trade and industry, health, agriculture, sports, Bulakenyo Expatriate and Tanging Bulakenyo.

Tanging Bulakenyo, the highest award to be given to a Bulakenyo by the PGB, will be awarded to a nominee who excels in any of the awards categories stated above and with an outstanding contribution to the society.

“The said prestigious awards night is considered as one of the highlights of the Singkaban Festival celebration, which awards highest distinctions to outstanding sons and daughters of the province”, the governor said.

Nominees will undergo a thorough screening process and awardees will receive medals and trophies of recognition.

According to PPDO, the secretariat of the awards program, entries and nominations will be accepted until June 30, 2019 only.

Formerly called Dangal ng Bulacan, the PGB started to give this prestigious distinction in 1974 known as the Natatanging Bulakenyo Award.
