San Ildefonso dominates Indakan sa Kalye 2024

INDAKAN SA KALYE 2024 CHAMPION. CITY OF MALOLOS – In a vibrant celebration of talent and creativity, the San Ildefonso National High School turned the ordinary streets into dynamic stages of artistic expression as they bagged the champion title during the awarding ceremony of Singkaban Festival’s Indakan sa Kalye 2024 held in front of the Capitol Building last Saturday, September 14.

Being this year’s new reigning champion, the group brought home a cash prize of P120,000 along with a trophy. They also bagged Best in Street Dancing award with an additional P20,000 cash prize.

The City of Malolos Dance Troupe also displayed an incredible and colorful performance and landed on 2nd Place along with P80,000 cash prize and a trophy. They also won the Best in Costume award, which came with an additional P20,000. Meanwhile, the Marian Dance Company from the Santa Maria National High School secured the 3rd place and took home P50,000 cash prize and a trophy.

Additionally, dance troupes from the municipalities of Bocaue, Bustos, and Marilao won the consolation prizes amounting to P20,000 cash prizes and trophies.

For Eurizs Mangahas, choreographer of the winning team, expressed his gratitude to Governor Daniel R. Fernando for giving a platform and allowing Bulakenyos to showcase the province’s intricate culture.

“Sobrang nakakatuwa na mayroon tayong Singkaban Festival lalo na ‘yung Indakan sa Kalye kasi dito naipapakita ng mga kabataan ng iba’t ibang bayan mula sa Bulacan ang kanilang talento, ang kanilang kultura, ang kanilang sining, at iba-ibang festivals na ipinagmamalaki ng iba’t ibang bayan. Salamat po, Gov. Daniel sa oportunidad na ibinigay ninyo sa mga kabataang mananayaw na Bulakenyo,” Mangahas said.

In his message, Vice Governor Alexis C. Castro expressed his encouragement to the street dancers to continue their love and passion to the province of Bulacan through dancing.

“Proud kaming lahat sa inyo at huwag kayong titigil na gawin ang passion ninyo sa pagsasayaw at passion ninyo na maipakita ang kultura at history ng ating lalawigan,” Castro said. ###
