PAGCOR launches its pilot BBM Serbisyo Caravan in Bulacan

CITY OF MALOLOS – The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) led by its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Alejandro H. Tengco in participation and support of the Provincial Government of Bulacan launched its first Bawat Buhay Mahalaga (BBM) Serbisyo Caravan in Bulacan and gave away 50 million worth of various educational, medical, livelihood and financial assistance to the province.

Tengco was joined by Gov. Daniel R. Fernando and Vice Gov. Alexis C. Castro during the Ceremonial Turn-Over of PAGCOR’s community development and healthcare grants to Bulacan Local Government Units and Congressional Districts held at the Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium here this morning.

Tengco announced the PAGCOR’s aid to nation building in improving lives and addressing the needs of the Bulakenyo including high quality two machines of a two-dimensional Echocardiogram or 2D Echo and one ultrasound machine for Bulacan Medical Center, 4,500 electric bikes for Barangay Tanod for their patrol duties, 600 wheelchairs, 1,000 walking sticks, 2,000 scholarship grants including 1,000 students for Bulacan State University and 1,000 for vocational students, and some reading glasses.

A special raffle of livelihood showcases such as Sari-sari Store Starter Package worth P20,000 was also held.

Also, a two-day medical and dental mission for less than 3,000 beneficiaries is ongoing until tomorrow with the medical and dental team from PGB Bulacan Medical Center and Provincial Administrator’s Office Damayan sa Barangay (DSB) as well as from PAGCOR’S partner and other PGB partner agencies like PNP, Bagong Pilipinas, and Philippine Army among others. 

“Gusto ko din po sanang palakpakan natin ang inspirasyon po ng PAGCOR kaya nabuo ang araw na  ito, ang pinakamamahal natin at Iginagalang Pangulong Bong Bong Marcos, programa po niya ito,” Tengco said.

Fernando expressed his gratitude to President Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos and to PAGCOR for choosing Bulacan to be its pilot beneficiary.

“Maraming salamat po sa ating Pangulong BBM at sa PAGCOR. Ang lahat naman po ng ating mga katuwang sa paglilingkod ay talagang nakaagapay sa ating mga kababayan, chairman at huwag po kayong magsasawa na bigyan tayo ng grasya dito sa ating lalawigan at sa lahat ng mga beneficiary, magpasalamat kayo sa Diyos,” the governor said.

Other Bulacan officials present during the event to receive the Certificate of Award of wheelchairs or donation as PAGCOR’s healthcare assistance were House Representatives Cong. Lorna Silverio, Atty. Danilo Domingo, Ambrosio Cruz, Jr. and Salvador Pleyto, Mayors Leonardo Valeda of Obando, Atty. Agatha Paula Cruz of Guiguinto, Flordeliza Manlapaz of Hagonoy, Ma. Elena Germar of Norzagaray, Eduardo Villanueva, Jr. of Bocaue represented by Juan Paulo Bautista, Calumpit Mayor Glorime Faustino represented by Municipal Administrator Bernadette Cruz, City of Malolos Atty. Christian Natividad represented by Vice Mayor Miguel Alberto Bautista and City of San Jose Del Monte Mayor Arthur Robes represented by City Information Officer Nolly Concepcion.

Also, Board Member William Villarica, Director Francisco Democrito Concordia and President and COO Juanito Sanosa, Jr. of PAGCOR, Malolos Food Corp President Tony Tengco and some department heads headed by Provincial Administrator Antonia Constantino among others graced the event. ###
