184 Bulakenyo children get baptized during Binyagang Bayan in CSJDM

CITY OF MALOLOS – A grand total of 184 children, ranging from infants to seven years old, were blessed with the Sacrament of Baptism during the Binyagang Bayan event organized by the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office at the Mother of Perpetual Help Quasi-Parish in Brgy. Gaya-gaya, City of San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan recently.

Bulacan Gov. Daniel R. Fernando and Vice Gov. Alexis C. Castro graced the occasion with their presence, taking on the role of godfathers, and as a token of their love and support, they gifted each child with a cash present.

“The sacrament of baptism is an important stage in human life. This is what brings and makes us aware of the holiness of life and is the sign of the beginning of our Christian life. Ang binyag ay simbolo ng ating pagkakaisa kay Kristo sa Kanyang kamatayan at muling pagkabuhay,” Fernando said.

He also urged other parents whose children have not yet been baptized to seize the opportunity provided by the Provincial Government of Bulacan through PSWDO’s Binyagang Bayan. The event was graced by PSWDO Head Rowena J. Tiongson, along with her dedicated staff, Board Members Allen Dale DC. Baluyut and Enrique A. Delos Santos, Jr., and some sponsors.
