‘Wedding Capital of the Philippines’ features Kasalan at Okasyon

CITY OF MALOLOS – Bulacan will once again live up to how the country calls it, ‘Wedding Capital of the Philippines’, as the Provincial History, Arts, Culture and Tourism Office (PHACTO) and Bulacan Event Suppliers Association (BESA) open the “Kasalan at Okasyon” two-day exhibit at SM City San Jose del Monte on September 9 and 10.

Governor Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado shares that Bulacan is called the ‘Wedding Capital of the Philippines’ because the province houses quality jewelries, old churches that are best for weddings, numerous gown suppliers and continuously growing number of event suppliers.

Further, PHACTO Head Dr. Eliseo Dela Cruz said that the exhibit will feature the works of Bulakenyos from event organizing, video and photo coverage, make up and gowns up to the little things needed for a successful event to happen.

Dela Cruz added that the exhibit also aims to inspire other young Bulakenyos to explore their talents and to dip their fingers and contribute in the said industry.

Kasalan Okasyon is one of the activities in the month-long celebration of Singkaban Festival with the theme “Singkaban Festival 2017: Bulacan, babalik-balikan!”.
