Uniquely adorned floats to wow Bulakenyos on Singkaban Festival
CITY OF MALOLOS – As one of the most awaited activities in the weeklong celebration of Singkaban Festival 2019, astounding floats from the 21 towns, three cities and some private companies in the province will surely amaze the festival goers as they make their way in the Capitol Compound here during the Parada ng Karosa on September 9, 2019 at 8 am.
Anchored on the theme “Sining at Kalinangang Bulakenyo, Dangal ng Filipino”, participating floats of local government units and private companies should depict outstanding products, local traditions, arts, and tourist destinations.
According to the Provincial History, Arts, Culture and Tourism Office (PHACTO), interested participants must follow the rules wherein the floats should not exceed the maximum height of 10 feet with a maximum width of 8 feet and a maximum length of 20 feet; participating LGUs can also bring their own performers and sound system to highlight their entry and if there is a candidate of Hari at Reyna ng Singkaban 2019 from the LGUs, they have the option to invite their candidate to ride the float and join the parade.
The winners in the competition will be judged according to craftsmanship (50%), theme (25%) and overall impact (25%) wherein the winners will receive trophies and cash prize amounting P100,000 for first place, P70,000 for second place, P30,000 for third place and P5,000 each for consolation prize.

“Inaanyayahan ko ang lahat na suportahan at saksihan ang mga kaabang-abang na mga programa sa darating na Singkaban Festival dahil ang pagdiriwang na ito ay hindi lamang para sa mga Bulakenyo bagkus sa lahat ng tao na nagmamahal sa kulturang Pilipino,” Fernando said.
