Thousands of prizes await the winners in float parade

CITY OF MALOLOS – The creativity and effort exerted by the participants in the upcoming “Parada ng Karosa” on September 8, 2016, at 10 am will be all worth it as the winner of the Best Festive Float takes home P100,000.

Further, the second Best Festive Float will receive P70,000 and the third placer will get P30,000.

There are also three consolation prizes wherein each will receive P5,000 and certificates of participation.

Around 20-30 floats from the local government units and private companies will be decorated with different designs infused with modern technology and in line with their respective municipalities’ festivities.

The parade will start at the Malolos Convention Center and will proceed in front of the Capitol Building in this city.

According to Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado, aside from the fun and color that it adds to the celebration, the said activity will also able to showcase to the Bulakenyos and other tourists the exceptional arts and culture of the province of Bulacan.

“Maraming maipagmamalaki ang ating lalawigan na marapat lamang masaksihan hindi lamang ng mga dayuhang turista ngunit lalo’t higit ng mga Bulakenyo nang sa gayon ay maging maalam sila sa makulay at mayamang sining at kultura ng kanilang sariling bayan. Kaya naman inaanyayahan ko ang lahat na makiisa at panoorin ang Parada ng mga Karosa,” Alvarado said.

Aside from the floats, the candidates of the Hari at Reyna ng Bulacan competition as well as some drum and lyre band in the province will also join the parade.

The Provincial History, Arts, Culture and Tourism Office will lead the Parada ng Karosa.
