Thousands of Bulakenyos benefit from local recruitment activities and free skills training
CITY OF MALOLOS – Thousands of Bulakenyos obtained new skills and knowledge while hundreds landed a job during the Kabuhayan Fair Online Streaming and Online Local Recruitment Activity last September 8-10, 2021 as part of the weeklong activities in the recently concluded Singkaban festival 2021.
Spearheaded by the Provincial Government of Bulacan through the Provincial Youth, Sports and Public Employment Service Office (PYSPESO), the activities were conducted via Provincial PESO Bulacan Facebook page and vantagehunt.com.
According to Atty. Kenneth Ocampo-Lantin, head of PYSPESO, a total of 3,053 job openings were generated from different companies in Bulacan and nearby provinces including DCFE Corporation, Mekeni, ACE Malolos Doctors, VXI, Lloyd Laboratories Inc., Paramount, Times Paint Corporation, YanYan International Philippines, Inc., J.P. Ilao Manpower Services, UNO Overseas Placement, Inc., EEI Corporation, Innogen Pharmaceuticals Inc. and People Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP).
She added that a total of 429 Bulakenyo jobseekers have applied and grabbed the chance to be hired by the participating employers mentioned above.
Furthermore, 8,400 Bulakenyos tuned in on the three-day Kabuhayan Fair online streaming through Facebook live for free skills demo including Essential Oil Making, Alcohol Making and Dishwashing Liquid and Fabric Conditioner Making last September 13; Basic Make-up Tutorial, Basic Hair Cutting and Basic Nail Art last September 14; Coffee and Latte Art, Kimchi Making and Charcuterie/Grazing Board Preparation last September 15.
Bulacan Gov. Daniel R. Fernando lauded the striving Bulakenyo jobseekers for their willingness to participate and determination to grab every opportunity for growth and development.
“Sa pagsisikap ninyong umattend at makiisa sa mga programang pangkaunlaran ng ating pamahalaan na gaya nito, ipinakikita ninyo ang inyong hangaring mapaunlad ang sarili at makahanap ng mabisang mapagkukunan ng kabuhayan alang-alang sa kinabukasan ng inyong pamilya. Hangad ko din na sana’y makapaghatid ng pag-asa ang programang ito sa inyong mga buhay at maibahagi niyo rin sa inyong mga kamag-anak, kabarangay, kaibigan at kakilala,” the governor said. ###
