CITY OF MALOLOS – The Provincial Government of Bulacan headed by Governor Daniel R. Fernando through its Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office provided basic necessities to seven families who were affected by the fire incident in Purok 5, Brgy. Binuangan, Obando last Saturday afternoon.
The families were given sleeping mats, blankets, mosquito nets and a sack of rice per household.
According to Provincial Social Welfare and Development Officer Rowena J. Tiongson, 33 individuals were affected by the fire incident, which started around 1 pm due to a faulty electrical wiring and lasted approximately for an hour after being declared as fire out by 2 pm.
Meanwhile, Obando Community Administrative Officer Bryan Nino Reyes said that barangay officials promptly distributed food supplies to the victims and financial assistance are also being worked out.
On the other hand, Fernando also reminded Bulakenyos to be precautious all the time to prevent accidents from happening.
