Set to honor one of the country’s most revered propagandists and heroes
Bulacan to commemorate 175th birth anniversary of Marcelo H. Del Pilar
CITY OF MALOLOS – The Province of Bulacan will pay tribute to one of the country’s greatest propagandists and heroes as it marks the 175th Birth Anniversary of Gat Marcelo H. Del Pilar with the theme “Inspirasyon ng Kabataan sa Matatag na Kinabukasan” on August 30, 2025, 8:00 AM at the Marcelo H. Del Pilar Shrine, San Nicolas, Bulakan, Bulacan.
Department of Foreign Affairs Secretary Ma. Theresa P. Lazaro will serve as the guest of honor, leading the wreath-laying ceremony and delivering a keynote address, highlighting Del Pilar’s enduring relevance, particularly how his legacy can inspire today’s youth in the crucial work of nation-building.
Also in attendance will be Governor Daniel R. Fernando, Vice Governor Alexis C. Castro, members of Del Pilar’s family, congressmen from Bulacan, members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Bulacan, the Sangguniang Bayan of Bulakan, City and Municipal Mayors, representatives from various sectors and members of the Bulacan-based media.
Fernando underscored the profound importance of the commemoration, stating that Del Pilar’s vision of a free and progressive nation continues to guide Bulakenyos and all Filipinos.
He emphasized that it remains the duty of every citizen to ensure this legacy of freedom and progress is passed on to future generations. ###
