He also said that apart from these, the residents can also avail of the Balik Probinsya Program, free operation/surgery and the Malasakit Center aids.
In addition, he announced that President Rodrigo Duterte has already approved to allocate one percent of the Internal Revenue Allotment of provinces who were badly hit by the recent typhoons.
Affected families in each of the two towns also received P5,000 worth of financial assistance through the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development; 100 cavans of rice from the National Food Authority; 25M bangus fry and 1 million tilapia fingerlings, and canned goods from the Department of Agriculture and Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources; and livelihood assistance from the Department of Trade and Industry.
Also, the National Housing Authority has promised to supply construction materials for the reconstruction of houses after they have conducted their evaluation or assist them if they wish to relocate to a low-cost housing and the Department of Public Works and Highways will also assess the bridges in the province for immediate repair.
Meanwhile, Gov. Daniel R. Fernando, Vice Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado, Congressman Jose Antonio Sy-Alvarado, Calumpit Mayor Jessie De Jesus, and Marilao Mayor Ricky Silvestre thanked the national government for helping the province.
