Rey Valera to serenade elderly Bulakenyos on Araw ng Ginintuang Gulang
CITY OF MALOLOS – Elderly Bulakenyos will be in for a treat as the Provincial Government of Bulacan is set to give them a night of feel good music by no less than Mr. Rey Valera.
A proud Bulakenyo himself, Valera will serenade the elderly Bulakenyos with his OPM hits including “Maging Sino Ka Man”, “Kahit Maputi na ang Buhok Ko”, “Kung Kailangan Mo Ako” and “Pangako Sa’Yo” among others on a free concert dubbed as “Araw ng Ginintuang Gulang” on September 14, 2015, 4:00 pm at Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium in this city.
Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado said that in celebrating Singkaban Festival, Bulakenyos of every age from all walks of life should be involved and entertained.
“Ang Singkaban ay para sa lahat, naglaan tayo ng mga aktibidad para sa kabataan, hindi rin natin makakalimutan ang mga nakatatanda. Sa pamamagitan ng musika ni Rey Valera, we are hoping that they can relive memories from the past at ang gusto natin ay mapasaya sila at maramdaman nilang kasali sila sa mga gawaing isinasagawa ng pamahalaan ,” Alvarado said.
Also, performing as front acts are the local talents of Bulacan including Himig ng Bulakenyo, Hiyas ng Bulacan Brass Band, the official choir and brass band of the PGB and solo performers including Melbelline Anne Caluag, Lara Lavinia Vayani and Michelle Lagartera.
The said free concert is made possible through the effort of the Provincial Administrator’s Office in partnership with Globe.
