PNoy inspects P19 billion worth of infrastructure projects in Bulacan

CITY OF MALOLOS – The ‘Daang Matuwid’ campaign of President Benigno Simeon Aquino III is clearly manifesting in the province of Bulacan as the president inspected major infrastructure projects worth P19 billion during his inspection and briefing on the ongoing projects recently.
These ongoing projects include the Plaridel Bypass Road Project Phase II and the Valenzuela-Obando-Meycauayan Flood Control Project.

The chief executive said that under his administration, Bulacan was poured in with P19.04 billion worth of infrastructure projects from 2011 to 2016 which is four times higher compared to the P5.01 billion projects done from 2005 to 2010.

“Halos apat na beses naman ang inangat ng napondohan nating imprastruktura tulad ng kalsada, tulay, flood control, pantalan at paliparan dito sa Bulacan. Mula P5.01 bilyon noong 2005 hanggang 2010, pumalo na ito sa P19.04 bilyon nitong 2011 hanggang 2016. Kasama po rito ang 234 na farm-to-market roads na nakumpleto na natin dito sa Bulacan. Suma-total po, halos 70 kilometro na ito na tumutulong sa higit 7,000 magsasaka na nasasagad na ang kita,” Aquino said.

The president also said that the completion of the Angat Water Utilization and Aqueduct Improvement Project – Phase II last July 2012, the ongoing Angat Dam and Dike Strengthening Project and the Bulacan Bulk Water Supply Project were all initiated by Bulacan Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado.

Prior to this, Aquino and Alvarado together with Vice Gov. Daniel R. Fernando, Hagonoy Mayor Raulito Manlapaz, Sr. and Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) Chairman and CEO Cristino Naguiat, Jr. also inspected the construction of the two-storey, 10-classroom school buildings at Ramona S. Trillana High School-Sta. Elena Campus which are being built under the “Matuwid na Daan sa Silid-Aralan” project of PAGCOR.
Alvarado also expressed his gratitude to Aquino for giving priority to major projects in Bulacan that will spur more productivity and opportunities for the Bulakenyos.

“Isang magandang manipestasyon ng mahusay at mabuting pamamahala ang patuloy na pagdami, pagsasagawa at pagsasaayos ng mga proyektong pang-imprastruktura na patuloy na magbibigay ng kaginhawaan sa mga Bulakenyo kaya’t malaki ang ating pasasalamat kay Pangulong Aquino na tumulong na maisakatuparan ang mga ito,” the governor said.
