CITY OF MALOLOS – The Philippine Medical Association Medical Mission Foundation of Greater St. Louis, Missouri, United States of America extends their helpful hands to underprivileged Bulakenyos for the sixth year now as they offer free medical and surgical operations from January 22 to 25, 2018 at the Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium in this city.
The joint medical and surgical mission initiated by the PMA Medical Mission Foundation of Greater St. Louis and the Provincial Government of Bulacan (PGB) targets to serve a total of 100 minor operation on cysts and major operations on goiter, gall bladder, hernia and myoma; and 650 out-patients per day to add to the 13,545 patients served in the last five years.
Governor Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado encourages Bulakenyos to take advantage of the free medical and surgical mission that the Filipino and American doctors and nurses offer.
“Lubhang mapalad ang ating lalawigan sapagkat hindi tayo nauubusan ng mga katuwang na maaari nating maging kabalikat sa pagtupad ng ating pangarap na lalong pagyabungin ang serbisyo-publiko na ipinagkakaloob natin sa ating mga kababayan. Kaya marapat lamang na ating ipagpasalamat ang pagiging bukas-palad ng mga taong nasa likod ng dakilang adhikain na ito na tayo ay tulungan,” the governor said.
Alvarado added that interested Bulakenyos may coordinate with their respective barangay chairmen or Barangay Health Workers for referral and additional inputs because the PGB is currently coordinating with them.
Moreover, Bulakenyo talents are set to welcome the PMA Medical Mission Foundation of Greater St. Louis delegates through performances as well as the provincial officials, department heads, assistant department heads and division chiefs of offices on January 21, 2018 at The Pavilion, Hiyas ng Bulacan Convention Center wherein Dr. Necita Roa, the foundation’s president, is expected to give her message.
