PGB treats Bulakenyo drivers and operators in Araw ng Lingkod Lansangan

CITY OF MALOLOS – As an act of appreciation for their great contribution to the society, the Provincial Government of Bulacan will treat hundreds of Bulacan Federation of Jeepney Operators and Drivers Association members in a fun-filled day dubbed as “Araw ng Lingkod Lansangan” on September 12, 2018, 1 pm at the Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium here.

Governor Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado recognized the drivers and operators’ huge sacrifice in bringing passengers safely to their destination regardless of the weather, may it be a hot scorching day or a cold rainy night.

“Kayong ating mga tsuper ang dahilan kung paanong kaming mga mananakay ay nakakarating ng maayos at ligtas sa aming mga trabaho, paaralan at kung saan pa man. Saludo kami sa inyong dedikasyon na sa mabuting pamamaraan ay mabuhay at matustusan ninyo ang pangangailangan ng inyong mga pamilya,” the governor said.

The Bulakenyo drivers and operators will be joined by Land Transportation and Franchising Regulatory Board Region 3 Regional Director Ahmed C. Quizon and Passenger Accident Management Insurance Vice President Ma. Angela Atayde.

As usual, there would be a singing contest called “JODA Got Talent” wherein the 1st place will take home P7,000, the 2nd place will bag P5,000, the 3rd place will be given P3,000, and the non-winners will receive P1,000 as consolation prize.

Each of the attendees will be given grocery items and will have a chance to win prizes on the raffle draw.

The Araw ng Lingkod Lansangan is part of month-long celebration of Singkaban Festival 2018 with the theme “Pamanang Kalinangan ng Nakaraan, Gabay sa Maunlad na Kinabukasan.”
