CITY OF MALOLOS – In the spirit of honoring the Filipino workforce and amid ongoing national challenges such as employment gaps and the rising cost of living, the Provincial Government of Bulacan, through the Provincial Public Employment Service Office successfully conducted the Pre-Labor Day Job Fair last April 30, 2026 at Level 4, Robinsons Place Malolos, opening doors to hundreds of employment opportunities and bringing hope closer to jobseekers across the province.
Anchored on the theme “Disenteng Trabaho para sa Lahat; Iisang Hangarin, Bagong Pilipinas Sama-Samang Mararating”, the one-day event gathered 18 participating companies – 16 local companies and 2 overseas employers – collectively offering over 2,000 job vacancies across a wide range of industries.
A total of 615 jobseekers participated in the event where 353 were qualified jobseekers, 77 applicants were tagged as “nearly hired”, and 6 applicants were hired on the spot.
One of the HOTS success stories was Erick John Apostol from Canalate, City of Malolos who was hired as a service crew member for Domino’s Pizza, Guiguinto.
“Maraming salamat po PESO Bulacan, sa Robinsons, at Gob. Daniel R. Fernando. Sa hirap po ng buhay ngayon lalo na po may pamilyang binubuhay, malaking tulong po talaga ang naibigay ninyong trabaho,” Apostol said.
Beyond just employment, Fernando envisions jobs that will serve as a nurturing home for every Bulakenyo.
“Maraming salamat po sa mga partner agencies na andito ngayon. Sana po ay mabigyan ng malawak na oportunidad ang mga Bulakenyo, nais ko po silang magkaroon ng marangal na hanapbuhay higit lalo ngayong kailangan ng pamilyang Bulakenyo na makapagbibigay ng tugon sa pangangailangan ng pamilya,” the governor said.
More than a recruitment activity, the job fair also included a “One-stop shop” for national government agencies to provide essential government services including the Social Security System (SSS), Pag-IBIG, Philippine Health Insurance (PhilHealth), National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), and Department of Migrant Workers (DMW).
