PGB promotes poultry industry mixed with amusement through 1st Bulacan Poultry Show

CITY OF MALOLOS – Fancy pigeons, Bantam chickens, rabbits, quail and exotic animals such as snakes and turtles will be the center of attention during the two-day “1st Bulacan Poultry Show” on September 8-9, 2018 at the Old Gat Blas Ople building parking space in this city.

Being one of the top provinces that produce livestock and poultry animals, the Provincial Government of Bulacan (PGB) through its Provincial Veterinary Office (PVO) will showcase the side of the poultry industry that combines amusement with income by exhibiting pet poultry animals.

The first day of the event will be the exhibit and show of the fancy pigeons and exotic animals and rabbit for meat seminar while on the second day will be the Bantam chicken and exotic animals’ exhibit and show and the quail raising seminar.

Governor Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado encouraged animal farmers and enthusiasts to spread the benefits of the rising economy of animal industry.

“Ang lalawigan ng Bulacan ay sagana sa mga likas na yaman at kasama diyan ay ang ating mga alagang hayop sa ating mga bakuran na lingid sa ating kaalaman ay maaari nating pagkuhanan ng karagdagang kita katulad ng kuneho at pugo. Layunin natin na sa pamamagitan ng gawain na ito ay mas mapalago pa natin ang industriya ng paghahayupan,” Alvarado said.

He also said that the exhibit will be open for public and is free of charge.

The 1st Bulacan Poultry Show is part of the month-long celebration of the Singkaban Festival 2018, which is anchored on the theme “Pamanang Kalinangan ng Nakaraan, Gabay sa Maunlad na Kinabukasan.”
