PGB conducts waterway cleaning operation

CITY OF MALOLOS- More or less 150 sacks of floating garbage were collected during the small-scale waterway cleaning operation at the waterway under the bridge in Brgy. Tawiran, Obando, Bulacan last Friday, January 21, 2022.

The Provincial Government of Bulacan through the Bulacan Environment and Natural Resources Office (BENRO) in coordination with the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO) of Obando cleaned up the garbage that came from other places and were carried to Obando by the water current.

Governor Daniel R. Fernando said that
the PGB with the help of other government offices for the environment will continue to do their part to maintain the cleanliness in the province but highlighted that every single person has the responsibility to take care of mother nature.

“Napakalaki ang ginagampanang tungkulin ng bawat indibidwal sa pagpapanatili ng malinis na kapaligiran. Mahalaga na sa ating sarili at sa ating mga tahanan magsimula ang disiplina sa paglalagay ng basura sa tamang tapunan. Kung mangyayari ito, aabutan pa ng mga susunod na henerasyon ang mga pamana ng ating mga likas na yaman,” the governor said.

The clean-up drive is part of the fulfillment of Fernando’s 10-point agenda or the “People’s Agenda 10” which includes Resilient Nature and Clean Environment. ###
