PGB allots 5 buses and 10 jeepneys for Bulakenyo health workers

CITY OF MALOLOS – To aid in the Bulakenyo health workers’ dilemma of commuting to and from work due to travel restrictions of the Enhanced Community Quarantine in Luzon, the Provincial Government of Bulacan headed by Governor Daniel R. Fernando allotted five buses and 10 jeepneys to transport health workers to the Bulacan Medical Center and other Bulacan district hospitals.
Health workers from BMC and district hospitals including Baliuag District Hospital in Baliwag, Calumpit District in Calumpit, Emilio G. Perez Memorial District Hospital in Hagonoy, Gregorio del Pilar District Hospital in Bulakan, Plaridel Emergency Infirmary Hospital in Plaridel, Rogaciano M. Mercado Memorial Hospital in Santa Maria, and San Miguel District Hospital in San Miguel may avail of the free rides that will be roving around their areas starting today.
Fernando ordered the free rides as a sign of gratitude for the health workers’ unwavering dedication to serve and to show to the frontliners and volunteer workers that the PGB is there to support them and keep them safe.
“Kinikilala po ng Pamahalaang Panlalawigan ng Bulacan ang sakripisyong ginagawa ng ating fontliners sa panahong ito. Sa mga araw na hinihikayat ang publiko na manatili sa kani-kanilang mga tahanan, ang ating kalalawigan na ito ay tiniis ang hirap sa malayo sa kanilang pamilya upang mapaglingkuran tayong lahat,” the governor said.
According to the guidelines of the Enhanced Community Quarantine over Luzon, mass public transport facilities including buses, jeepneys and tricycles are suspended.
