CITY OF MALOLOS – One of the Philippine’s best rock band, Parokya ni Edgar never fails to bring an ultimate Pinoy rock experience after they left thousands of Bulakenyos in awe from their ecstatic acts and rock music that echoed throughout the jam-packed Globe Night Concert held at Bulacan Sports Complex in this city last night.
With almost 7,000 screaming and chanting Bulakenyos, Parokya ni Edgar was overwhelmed with the warm welcome of the audience and expressed their thankfulness for joining an exciting night with them.
“Ang banda, mas ginaganahan kapag ganado ang audience. Salamat sa lahat ng nandito ngayon dahil sinamahan n’yo kami ngayong gabi at mag-enjoy lang sana tayo dahil minsan lang ito,” Chito Miranda, the lead vocalist of the band, said.
Parokya ni Edgar got the audience so heated up with their famous hits including “Buloy”, “Harana”, “Sayang” and “Mr. Suwabe” as they interacted greatly with the thrilled crowd, shaking hands and sharing emotions with their songs that left Bulakenyos with a night to remember.
Prior to this, Bulakenyo local bands including Davo Project, Lunar Lights and Deuterium also brought entertainment to the event while Globe Telecom energized the crowd with their fun games with exciting prizes to be won.
“Globe Night is actually the event I’ve been waiting for. This year, super nag-enjoy talaga ako kasi Parokya ni Edgar ang nagperform. Mabuti rin na mahigpit ‘yung security for the audience’s safety and it’s evident na organized ‘yung event,” Rachel Garrido, one of the audience said.
Immediately after the concert, the night sky shone bright as the fireworks exhibitors including Leegendary Fireworks from San Ildefonso and PyroHaven Fireworks and Platinum Fireworks from Santa Maria showcased their fascinating choreographed fireworks in the “Pasiklaban sa Singkaban”.
The event, which is one of the highlights of the weeklong celebration of Singkaban Festival 2016, was made possible through the Provincial Government of Bulacan with the cooperation of Globe Telecom.
