CITY OF MALOLOS- The Provincial Government of Bulacan headed by Governor Daniel R. Fernando through the Provincial History, Arts, Culture, and Tourism Office and Provincial Health Office started inoculating tourism workers including filmmakers, historians, researchers, arts and culture groups, tour guides, tourism associations, and frontliners in the accommodation, resorts, events, food, and agritourism sectors.

Five hundred tourism workers were initially vaccinated during the Mass Vaccination last October 7, 2021 at the Provincial Vaccination Site, The Pavilion, Hiyas ng Bulacan Convention Center in this city, and another 500 are scheduled to be vaccinated this month.

Fernando reminded the newly-vaccinated tourism workers to continue following health protocols to avoid getting COVID-19.

"We need to protect ourselves. We need to make sure that everybody is safe. Patuloy pa rin tayong mag face shield at face mask and social distancing at alcohol," the governor said.

Dr. Eliseo Dela Cruz, PHACTO head, said that Bulacan is the first province in the country to respond to the call of the national government and the Department of Tourism to vaccinate tourism frontliners.

Meanwhile, Paula Bernardo, a majorette of Bagong Bayan Brass Band who was vaccinated with Pfizer, thanked the PGB for giving priority to the tourism industry workers that are affected by the pandemic.
