CITY OF MALOLOS – A total of 934 Bulakenyos will receive burial assistance from the Provincial Government of Bulacan amounting to P2,000 each.

According to Provincial Social Welfare and Development Officer Rowena Joson-Tiongson, they are continuously distributing checks to 150 beneficiaries a day that started yesterday, July 6 at the Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium and continued today at the Hiyas ng Bulacan Convention Center here.

She added that the distribution will run until Thursday, July 9 and will resume on Monday, July 13 with 150 beneficiaries and Tuesday, July 14 for the last batch of beneficiaries which is composed of 184 individuals.

The People’s Governor of Bulacan, Hon. Daniel R. Fernando said that he instructed the PSWDO and the finance cluster to fast track the processing of financial assistance so that Bulakenyo beneficiaries can use it while under modified general community quarantine.

He also reminded the recipients to strictly follow the health protocols during this time of pandemic to help flatten the curve.###
