CITY OF MALOLOS – Being one of the sponsors of some of the new equipment of the Bulacan Medical Center (BMC), Senator Teofisto Guingona III led the inauguration of the new administrative building of the hospital that will provide better healthcare services for the Bulakenyos, yesterday at the BMC Compound in this city.

Senator Guingona, together with Bulacan Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado and Vice Gov. Daniel R. Fernando led the ribbon cutting ceremony of the newly renovated building that will hold the administrative offices, Eye Care Center and the major operating room of the provincial hospital.

The governor also said that the Provincial Government of Bulacan is continuously upgrading the emergency rooms and out-patient department as well as the extension of maternity wards and other buildings to cater to more Bulakenyos.

Meanwhile, Guingona said during his speech that the BMC’s mission and vision to be the “Center of Wellness and Hope” inspired him to sponsor new medical equipment for the hospital such as Endoscopy for health diagnosis and Stellaris Machine for eye care.

As the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Health, Guingona also announced that they are still pushing for the approval of Senate Bill 712 or the "Mandatory PhilHealth Coverage for all Senior Citizens" that will allow them to avail free health services.

After the inauguration, Alvarado and Fernando distributed wheel chairs, nebulizers, walkers and blood pressure apparatuses to some Bulakenyos in cooperation with the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office.
