Monday, 11 August 2014
CITY OF MALOLOS – Senator Teofisto Guingona III is anticipated to lead the inauguration of the new Operating Room (OR) building of the Bulacan Medical Center (BMC) on August 13, 2014 in this city.

Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado said the new OR building is expected to help boost the medical services of BMC in providing on-time major operations, eye care assistance and improved administrative health care system.

“This new building is our old Out-Patient Department building. We improved the facility for the Bulakenyos to experience better and responsive health care. The first floor will be the admin office while the second floor will be our major operating room and Eye Care Center,” Alvarado said.

BMC Director Dr. Protacio Bajao said that the P15 million worth of donation from the Priority Development Assistance Fund of Sen. Guingona gave the hospital the opportunity to purchase new equipment such as Endoscopy for health diagnosis and Stellaris Machine for eye care.

“Sen. Guingona is generous to us for funding our new equipment that will help our medical staff in operations and diagnostic examinations of the patients,” Bajao added.

Moreover, Alvarado admires the generosity of Guingona for donating health equipment to the BMC and said that the Provincial Government is continuously improving the facilities for the Bulakenyos to feel more comfortable in seeking medical services at BMC.

“Dahil sa patuloy na pagpapaunlad sa ating mga ospital, mas marami tayong Bulakenyong mapagsisilbihan at hindi tayo titigil na mas mapabuti pa ang ating serbisyo dahil ang kalusugan ang isa sa ating mga prayoridad tungo sa maunlad na lalawigan,” the governor said.

After the inaugural ceremony of the new building, Sen. Guingona together with Alvarado will also inspect the Endoscopy and Stellaris Machine he donated. ###
