More than 12,000 Bulakenyo families receive relief goods from PGB

CITY OF MALOLOS – A total of 12,068 Bulakenyo families who were affected by Typhoons Karding and Paeng received relief goods from the Provincial Government of Bulacan (PGB) through the Provincial Social Welfare & Development Office (PSWDO) recently.

Bulacan Governor Daniel R. Fernando instructed PSWDO Head Rowena J. Tiongson to conduct relief operations which started last November 18 in the town of Calumpit wherein a total of 7,358 families received food packs including Barangays Panducot, Sta. Lucia, Bulusan, Gatbuca and Iba O’ Este.

Further, additional 4,710 affected families received food packs last Saturday, November 19 from Barangays Tibaguin, Sto. Niño, San Juan and Palapat from the town of Hagonoy.

Distributed food packs contain four kilograms of rice, assorted canned goods, and instant noodles.

The People’s Governor said that everyone should keep on praying and to look after one another especially in time of calamities.

“Hindi pa po tapos ang pandemya at wala rin pong kasiguraduhan kung kailan ang dating ng kalamidad. Ipagpatuloy po natin ang pagdarasal upang humiling ng awa at paggabay. Kami naman po sa Pamahalaang Panlalawigan ay patuloy na magkakaloob ng serbisyo sa mga Bulakenyo sa abot ng aming makakaya,” Fernando said. ###
