“Let us teach and tell our children the rich history of our province” – Sen Villanueva

CITY OF MALOLOS– Senate Majority Floor Leader Joel Villanueva encouraged the Bulakenyos to pass unto the next generation the rich history of the Province of Bulacan by making it the topic on dining tables during the 444th Bulacan Foundation Anniversary held at the Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium in this city today.

During his speech in front of thousands of people present at the event, he gave three points to remember on how to continue the legacy of being a Bulakenyo including brightening the Bulakenyo spirit amidst the continuous modernization of the society; emphasizing the contribution of Bulacan in history; and furthering the expansion of the role of Bulacan in nation building.

Likewise, Governor Daniel R. Fernando persuaded all the Bulakenyos especially the youth to know more about the province and protect it like how the Bulakenyo ancestors preserved it.

Moreover, Vice Gov. Alexis C. Castro offered a moment of silence to commemorate the patriotism of the past Bulakenyos who shared their abilities for the province.

After the program at the gymnasium, Villanueva, Fernando, Castro and other local officials of the province went to the Hiyas ng Bulacan Cultural Center building to unveil the cultural marker signifying its 50th Foundation Anniversary. ###
