Kapitbisig sa Pag-unlad MPC bags Cooperative Awards for Continuing Excellence at GGK 2022

CITY OF MALOLOS – Among the best performing cooperatives in the province, the Kapitbisig sa Pag-unlad Multipurpose Cooperative from Pandi town won the major award of Cooperative Awards for Continuing Excellence at the Gawad Galing Kooperatiba 2022 spearheaded by the Provincial Cooperative and Enterprise Development Office held at The Pavilion, Hiyas ng Bulacan Convention Center here yesterday.

Through their continued involvement and support for their fellows, the Kapitbisig sa Pag-unlad MPC have complied with the standards of an excellent cooperative which made them achieve the highest recognition award with cash prize worth P65,000 and a trophy.

Said cooperative also received the Hall of Fame award for their outstanding performances in the previous years.

Special awards were also given to other best performing cooperatives wherein they received P15,000 cash prize and a trophy each including the Rabbit Raisers and Meat Producers Cooperative under the Micro Scale Category; PAGUNOVA Transport and Multi-purpose Service Cooperative, Catholic Servants of Christ Community Multipurpose Cooperative, Marilao Municipal Employees Multi-Purpose Cooperative for Medium Scale Category; and Sta. Monica of Bustos Multipurpose Cooperative and Palayan sa Nayon Multipurpose Cooperative for Large Scale Category.

On behalf of Regional Director Cristina H. Villamil of Cooperative Development Authority-Region III, Cooperative Development Specialist Jenalyn D. Ferrer congratulated all the nominated cooperatives and awardees for their contribution in the growth of the country, especially in the development of the province.

“Napakalaki po ng kontribusyon ng sektor ng kooperatiba sa pag-unlad ng ating bansa at sa Lalawigan ng Bulacan;at sa mga opisyales na isinusulong sa mga kooperatiba ang walang humpay na suporta sa ating sektor. Binabati ko kayo at sana ay ipagpatuloy niyo ang magandang kalidad ng pamamahala at operasyon ng inyong kooperatiba,” Ferrer said.

In his message, Governor Daniel R. Fernando expressed his gratitude to the cooperatives as the significant factor that brought awards to the province recently and encouraged Bulakenyos to establish more cooperatives.

“Lubos kong pinapahalagahan ang inyong inisyatibo at pagsisikap na makapag-ambag ng magandang pagbabago sa ating bayan. Ang ating kolektibong pagkilos ang siyang maghahatid ng matamis na bunga ng kaunlaran sa hapag ng bawat isang pamilyang Bulakenyo. Sa inyong paglago bilang isang samahan ay nagiging daluyan kayo ng pagpapala sa ating mga kababayan sapagkat nakapagbibigay kayo ng maraming oportunidad at trabaho sa kanila,” the governor said.

Vice Governor Alexis C. Castro and Board Member Allen Dale Baluyut, Chairperson of Committee on Cooperatives, also graced the program to deliver their messages along with the members of the Provincial Cooperative Development Council.

Further, 15 cooperatives under the categories of Small Scale, Medium Scale, Large Scale and Billionaire Category also received cash incentive worth P5,000 and a trophy each for the ‘Natatanging Bayanihan ng Kooperatiba sa Panahon ng Pandemya – Ikalawang Yugto’ while seven other cooperatives received P10,000 along with certificates as consolation prizes.

St. Martin of Tours Credit and Development Cooperative also received Golden Year Award from the Provincial Government of Bulacan for their 50th Founding Anniversary last 2020. ###
