CITY OF MALOLOS – As a sign of gratefulness and recognition for their services in providing safe public travel, the Provincial Government of Bulacan will hold a day of appreciation dubbed as “Araw ng Lingkod Lansangan” for the members of Bulacan Federation of Jeepney and Tricycle Operators and Drivers Association (BFJODA and TODA) on September 10, 2015 at 1:00 pm at the Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium in this city.
As part of the one week celebration of Singkaban Festival 2015, Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado said that the event aims to gather the members of BFJODA and TODA to strengthen their association and to inspire them to continue their services in providing safe and smooth public transportation every day.
“Ang mga tsuper ang nagsisilbi nating gabay sa pagpunta sa ating destinasyon at sa kanila nakasalalay ang ating kaligtasan sa kalsada. Hindi biro ang kanilang responsibilidad sa bawat byahe na kanilang ginagampanan sa araw-araw upang maihatid tayo ng ligtas sa ating mga patutunguhan. Ang kanilang kontribusyon sa lipunan ay hindi matatawaran,” Alvarado said.
The governor also said that more than 2,000 members of BFJODA and TODA are expected to attend the event and will receive grocery bags and raffle tickets for a chance to win different home appliances and cash prizes.
Singing Tsuper Rodolfo Dela Cruz will also bring extra happiness and entertainment to the celebration as he is set to serenade his fellow jeepney drivers and operators.
Moreover, Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) Chair Winston Ginez will grace the event as the guest speaker.
