Invest Bulacan pushes for more investors, progressive economy

CITY OF MALOLOS – More investors, more jobs and a more progressive economy await the province of Bulacan after launching the ‘Invest Bulacan’ campaign, jointly conceptualized by the Provincial Government of Bulacan and Bulacan Chamber of Commerce and Industry in cooperation with the Department of Trade and Industry, held at The Pavilion, Hiyas ng Bulacan Convention Center in this city today.
Madame Cielito “Honeylet” Avanceña, the common-law wife of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte and the event’s guest of honor, said that being a businesswoman herself, she knows the needs and sentiments of her fellows in the field of business and the chief executive knows this, too.
“We have this kind of perseverance that if something fails, we consider it as an opportunity to open something else. Sometimes we do things not for money anymore because we can only earn as much, but we see it as a chance to provide employment to others, knowing that when you wake up, there’s still something that you can offer,” Avanceña said.
Meanwhile, Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado shared the eight reasons why it is best to invest in Bulacan: 1. strategic location, 2. highly productive human resources, 3. abundant natural resources, 4. well-developed infrastructure support, 5. reasonable cost of doing business in Bulacan, 6. effective partnership of government and private sectors for investments, 7. favorable peace and order situation, and 8. attractive incentives.
“We are not just the gateway to the North, you name what you need and we have it here.
Apart from these, there are also projects such as the ongoing pipe lying of the Bulk Water rights in SJDM, Santa Maria and all throughout the province, the 12 hectare techno hub center, the North Luzon eastern alignment that will connect SJDM, Norzagaray, DRT, San Miguel to Nueva Ecija towards the Port of Aurora and a road connecting to Quezon City, SJDM, Norzagaray, DRT wherein a tunnel will be bored from the mountain.
He also said that later today, President Duterte will sign the Ease of Doing Business in Efficient Government Service Delivery Act of 2018 bill authored by Congressman Jose Antonio “Kuya Jonathan” Sy-Alvarado of the First District of Bulacan.
Above all, the governor was proud to announce that they are just waiting for the approval of the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) for the construction of an international airport in the province, which is 10 times bigger than the Ninoy Aquino International Airport or NAIA.
On the other hand, in lieu of the successive resignations in the cabinet of the President, Special Assistant to the President Secretary Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go said that the interest of the Filipinos always comes first before friendship.
“Mahirap po sa ating pangulo na tumanggap ng resignation o mag-alis ng tao, because these were his trusted people, pero gusto ko pong ipaalam sa inyo na para sa pangulo, una po lagi kayo. At sana, maging inspirasyon siya sa inyo,” Go said.
The event wrapped up through the showing of an audio visual presentation that depicted why it is wise to invest in Bulacan.
