CITY OF MALOLOS – The Information Officers of Bulacan, Inc., better known as InfoBul, took its part in giving back to the community through its outreach project.
Happy faces welcomed the InfoBul members as they distribute backpacks with school supplies to the underprivileged elementary pupils of Baliwag North Central School in Baliwag town recently.
Initially, 100 school supplies were distributed out of the 200 target beneficiaries.
According to Ronald Soriano, president of InfoBul and City of San Jose Del Monte Information Officer, said project aims to inspire the youth to value education immensely.
“It is our desire to help the kids to make a difference in their studies as well as to address the lack of basic learning resources to underprivileged students. Also, this gift giving was our answer to our social responsibility and should be emulated and institutionalized by the future officers,” Soriano said.
He also added that the trailblazing project was made possible through the initiative of Baliwag Information Officer Rustico Fernandez with the unanimous support from the officers and members of the InfoBul.
In his message, Fernandez reminded the pupils to use the school supplies properly and to not miss the opportunity of having an education.
“We hope that you will put to good use the gifts that were given to you. Education is important so make the most out of the opportunities given to you by studying hard,” Fernandez said.
Meanwhile, Baliwag North Central School Principal III Dr. Edelmira Dorega expressed her gratitude to the InfoBul.
“On behalf of the faculty and pupils of Baliwag North Central School, we would like to thank all of the officers and members of InfoBul for this generous gesture. Rest assured that these pupils will use these school supplies properly,” Dorega said.
Also present in the distribution of bags and school supplies were the advisers of InfoBul, Provincial Public Affairs Officer Maricel Cruz and Philippine Information Agency Bulacan Manager Vinson Concepcion.
