“I believe that SK officials are worthy to win and are influencers” — Senator Villanueva

CITY OF MALOLOS – Putting his trust and confidence to more or less 4,000 newly-elected Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) officials in Bulacan, Senator Joel Villanueva considered the return of the SK as an opportunity for the youth to prove that they are the hope of the nation.
“Naniniwala ako na ang ating mga SK chairman at SK kagawad ay worthy manalo at lubhang may magagawa upang maimpluwensyahan para sa kabutihan ang ating mga kabataan,” Villanueva, the guest of honor, said.
The SK officials took their oath to fulfill their responsibilities to serve their barangay and their fellow youth during the “Sabayang Panunumpa sa Tungkulin ng mga Bagong Halal na Sangguniang Kabataan” held at the Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium in this city today.
Governor Wilhelmino M. Sy–Alvarado explained to the young public servants the role that they will face as they enter a new chapter in their life.
He added that the youths of today are fortunate because they can now enroll and achieve their education for free.
Also, Sen. Joseph Victor Ejercito believed that SK chairmen and councilors are the ones that could handle the ‘change’ that will start from them.
Meanwhile, Robert John Nicolas, the new SK Federation President of Bulacan, felt blessed and honored that he took his oath with his colleagues.
He also called on all SK officials to practice unity, which plays an important role in the development of society.
“Ang isipin natin sama-sama tayo, isang kabataan tayong lahat, tulungan tayo at siguradong magiging progresibo ang ating pagkakaupo,” Nicolas added.
