Provincial Government of Bulacan

Governor Fernando resumes duties, a new chapter begins

CITY OF MALOLOS – Following his recent proclamation for a third term as the provincial chief executive of Bulacan, Governor Daniel R. Fernando has swiftly resumed his duties, baring plans for the future.

During the Monday Flag Ceremony held at The Pavilion, Hiyas ng Bulacan Convention Center, the governor expressed his gratitude to the 1,177,893 Bulakenyos who have placed their trust in his leadership for another fruitful administration.

Among the initiatives he announced is the forthcoming issuance of an executive order aimed at enhancing the province’s waste management system. This order will mandate the cleanup of all river systems, particularly smaller waterways, in preparation for the upcoming rainy season.

Fernando also revealed that the Bulacan Environment and Natural Resources Office (BENRO) will convene a meeting with local Environment and Natural Resources Officers (ENROs) and local chief executives to further discuss these critical environmental issues.

Additionally, in light of a tragic incident involving a mother from Santa Maria who reportedly took her own life and that of her three children due to depression and marital difficulties, the governor emphasized the importance of mental health support. He announced that the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) will hire at least two psychologists to provide online consultations for Bulakenyos, particularly single parents.

He added that he is committed to ensuring the full implementation of the Mental Health Department within the Bulacan Medical Center, reinforcing his dedication to the well-being of the community.
