CITY OF MALOLOS - The Provincial Government of Bulacan headed by Gov. Daniel R. Fernando intensifies its accident prevention plan to avoid accidents during the pandemic and in welcoming the New Year.

Fernando said that the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) and Provincial Cooperative and Enterprise Development Office (PCEDO) has lined up activities to ensure the safety and good health of Bulakenyos.

The Ingat Paputok Campaign Plan of PCEDO and annual Oplan Paputok of PDRRMO are all set wherein the latter has already joined the Bureau of Fire Protection's (BFP) motorcade held last December 15 which started from Calumpit to the City of Meycauayan and on the same date, the Pyrotechnics Regulatory Board (PRB) through PCEDO and PGSO led the installation of Ingat Paputok tarpaulins at Biñang and Turo in Bocaue town and in all remaining municipalities in Bulacan.

Also, from from December 29, 2021 - January 2, 2022, the rescue team of PDRRMO will be on standby for 24 hours in Brgy. Turo, Bocaue while some rescuers will be designated in front of the Capitol Building from 8 am onwards to provide medical asaistance.

The PDRRMO will also go around Bulacan from December 29 to 31 to distribute Ingat Paputok flyers.

"Batid ko po ang pagnanais ng lahat na magdiwang ng masaya ngayong nalalapit na Kapaskuhan at Bagong Taon ngunit nais ko rin lamang po kayong paalalahanan na maging maingat at responsible tayo upang maiwasan ang anumang disgrasya. Let us celebrate safely, use fireworks responsibly," Fernando said.

Meanwhile, Fernando together with the PRB, PNP Bulacan Police Office and the media is set to inspect the firecrackers and pyrotechnics stalls in Bocaue on December 27 to know if the owners and manufacturers are complying with the rules and guidelines.

The governor has also ordered the concerned authorities to monitor the illegal sale outside the firecracker zones, which is strictly prohibited and punishable under the law.

"Tayong lahat ay magkapit-bisig, sabay-sabay na salubungin ang Bagong Taon na may pag-asang ipagpapatuloy ang pagbangon sa dagok ng kambal na krisis sa pampublikong kalusugan at ekonomiya dulot ng COVID-19", Fernando said.

For any emergency or accident, please dial 911 or 791-0566 Bulacan Rescue.
