CITY OF MALOLOS – Some 743 families affected by the localized lockdown in Brgy. Perez in Bulakan, Bulacan received food packs from the Provincial Government of Bulacan through the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office earlier today.

According to Rowena Joson-Tiongson, head of PSWDO, each household received a food pack containing 5 kilos of rice and 10 packs of noodles as assistance to the affected families.

Governor Daniel R. Fernando said that the PGB is continuously providing food packs to Bulakenyos especially to those families who are on lockdown.

A total of seven positive COVID-19 cases were recorded by the barangay officials and ordered a localized lockdown last September 4 to 19, 2020 while the barangay was still under enhanced community quarantine.

Brgy. Chairman Santos M. Villanueva also expressed his gratitude to the PGB and to the People’s Governor for personally delivering the food packs for their community.

As of September 30, Bulacan has recorded a total of 3,989 COVID-19 recoveries, 1,637 active cases and 98 deaths. ###
