Gintong Kabataan Awards to recognize outstanding Bulakenyo youths

CITY OF MALOLOS – Exceptional Bulakenyo youths will once again be recognized as the Provincial Government of Bulacan through the Provincial Youth, Sports and Public Employment Service Office holds the Gintong Kabataan Awards 2018 in October.

The GKA is a yearly recognition that continuously revolves in the lives of Bulakenyo youths. The outstanding youths that were previously recognized in the said awards served as role models to other youths and have also brought pride and honor to the province.

Included in the categories to be awarded by GKA are Gintong Kabataan sa Kagalingang Pang-akademya at Agham (High School and College Level), Gintong Kabataan sa Larangan ng Sining at Kultura (Individual and Group), Gintong Kabataang Entreprenyur, Gintong Kabataan sa Larangan ng Paglilingkod sa Pamayanan (Individual and Group), Gintong Kabataang Manggagawa (Professional Worker, Skilled Worker and Government Employee), Gintong Kabataan sa Larangan ng Isports (Individual and Group) and Gintong Kabataang Bayani.

Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado said nominations can be submitted until July 6, 2018 and the nominee should have a Bulakenyo blood or has resided in the province of Bulacan for at least three years and must be within 15-35 years old.

He added that former Gintong Kabataan Awardees can no longer join in the category where they already won.

Also, PYSPESO Head Elizabeth Alonzo said that the nominees must submit a completely filled out Entry Form, Personal Data Sheet with signature and 2×2 picture (2 pieces), certificates (duplicate copies, certified xerox copies, etc.), certified copy of community tax certificate or sedula (for 18 years old and up), certification from barangay captain proving the nominee’s residency (for 17 years old and below), certificate of Good Moral Character from his school principal (for students)/certification from barangay captain or Municipal/City Social Welfare and Development Office – PSWDO (for out-of-school youth), and Birth Certificate (PSA Certified Copy).
