Freelance singer from San Jose Del Monte wins Bulacan X-Factor grand finals

CITY OF MALOLOS – The freelance singer and third year BS Travel Management student of Our Lady of Fatima University from San Jose Del Monte City won the first prize in the “Bulacan X-Factor Grand Finals“ held at the historic Barasoain Church in this city last September 11, 2017.
The grand champion, Famela Anne Aglabtin, showcased her amazing talent in singing ‘Bituing Marikit’ and received a trophy and cash prize worth P50,000.
She also received a special award for Best OPM Song and took home additional P5,000 and certificate for the ‘Ikaw Lang ang Mamahalin’ song rendition.
Meanwhile, the UP student from Santa Maria Trixie Dayrit bagged the second place for her ‘Mutya ng Pasig’ piece while third year Broadcasting student from Bulacan State University Marrey Anne De Leon of Paombong won the third place for her ‘Pakiusap’ song wherein they received cash prizes worth P30,000 and P15,000 respectively and trophies.
Moreover, Dayrit won the ‘Best Kundiman Song’ while De Leon got the ‘Best Nationalistic/Patriotic Song’ wherein each received additional P5,000.
Other contestants who received P5,000 consolation prize and certificates were Trisha Mae Mariano of Guiguinto, Franceska Micole LLagas of Pandi and Kelvin Silvestre of San Ildefonso.
Governor Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado congratulated the winners and encouraged other Bulakenyos to showcase their talents as well.
“Mabuhay kayong mga patuloy na bumubuhay sa mga kundimang awitin na bahagi ng kasaysayan at kultura ng pagiging isang Bulakenyo. Nawa ay mas marami pa ang magpamalas ng kanilang husay hindi lamang sa pagkanta ngunit maging sa iba pang talento,” Alvarado said.
The said talent search was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the Provincial History, Arts, Culture and Tourism Office and the Association of Tourism Officers of Bulacan.
