CITY OF MALOLOS – Festival goers and onlookers will be in for a feast as the “Parada ng Karosa” parades the colorful, festive floats of the local government units and some private companies on September 8, 2015, 1 pm that will start from the Provincial Capitol Compound and ends at Bulacan Sports Complex in this city.
Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy- Alvarado said the activity aims to highlight the traditional arts and culture of the province by encouraging participation of LGUs in terms of designing their respective floats which depict their local fiestas.
Aside from the floats from the 24 municipalities, some of the entries from the private companies include Coca-Cola Bottling Co, Holcim, Meralco, Subaru and STI among others.
Winners in the said competition will receive P50,000, P30,000, and P20,000 for the first, second and third places respectively and certificates to all the participants.
Senator Manuel “Lito” Lapid and Chairman Mark Lapid of Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA) are expected to grace the event.
The Parada ng Karosa was organized by the Provincial History, Arts, Culture and Tourism Office (PHACTO) in partnership with the Association of Tourism Officers of Bulacan (ATOB), Tourism Related Establishments (TREs), Department of Tourism and TIEZA.
