Fernando orders intensified strategy against COVID-19

CITY OF MALOLOS – During the Joint PDRRMC and C/MDRRMO’s 3rd Quarter Meeting via Zoom yesterday, Gov. Daniel R. Fernando as ordered to strictly follow his directives in terms of intensified strategies of the province against COVID-19 including prevention, detection, isolation, or quarantine, testing and treatment.

He particularly pointed out the coordination of all local government units of the province for contact tracing and isolation or quarantine.

He said,“kailangan ko ang aktibong paggawa ng bawat isa sa kanilang tungkulin”.

He also gave directives to the Provincial Task Force COVID-19 specifically Health, Response and Law and Order Clusters to identify what is lacking or possible problems arising during the implementation of protocols to be able to perform immediate solution.

He added that the guidance and support of the united efforts of the local chief executives, PNP, C/MDRRMO, C/MHO and barangay government is very important.

Some of the topics discussed during the meeting includes having an operational quarantine or isolation facilities in each town and city.

He called the attention of the municipal and city mayors about having a designated quarantine facility in their localities.

Fernando also said that he is in favor of “No Home Quarantine” so as to avoid contraction of virus among family members but if all facilities are full then that is the time the patient can undergo home quarantine.

“Makatutulong po ng malaki ang pagkakaroon ng pasilidad para sa mga pasyente ng COVID-19 sa pagpigil sa paglobo ng mga positibong kaso. Gayundin, katuwang po ninyo kami sa paghahatid ng mga asymptomatic na pasyente ng COVID-19 sa mga quarantine facilities” Fernando said.###
