In an online conference held yesterday, DTI-Bulacan presented the most improved local government units and recognized their competitiveness based on the different pillars wherein the town of Baliwag bagged 3rd place in overall competitiveness while the town of Santa Maria lands on 5th place; City of San Jose Del Monte on 15th place; town of Marilao on 17th place; City of Meycauayan on 31st place; City of Malolos on 35th place; Plaridel town on 38th place; Pulilan town on 46th place; and Bocaue on 68th place.

On behalf of the governor, Provincial Administrator Antonette Constantino said that Bulacan is making its way to attract more businesses and opportunities which will contribute in the development of the province.

Aside from that, DTI-Bulacan also launched the OTOPBULACAN.PH, an online platform for the One Town, One Product Program which aims to help and support owners of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) to promote and trade their products online especially during this time of the pandemic.

The CMCI is an annual ranking for cities and municipalities based on different pillars such as the Economic Dynamism, Government Efficiency, Infrastructure, and Resiliency whereas the provincial rankings are based on the population and income average of the overall scores of its cities and municipalities.###
