CITY OF MALOLOS – With one voice of thanks giving, worship and asking for forgiveness, the Provincial Government of Bulacan with the Four Pillars of Bulacan will once again hold, “A Day of Prayer” for the fourth time with the theme “Sama-samang Panalangin para sa Lalawigan ng Bulacan” on February 2, 2015, 8:00 in the morning at the Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium in this city.
Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado said that with all that is happening in the world and even in Bulacan, it is necessary that Bulakenyos pray together despite the differences in religion.
“Regardless of the faith, we are inviting everyone to come join us in prayer. May iba-iba man tayong paraan ng pagdarasal, ang mahalaga nakikita natin ang kahalagahan nito. Sa dami ng nangyayaring kaguluhan, disturbing our peace, I think it’s very timely that we unite and pray for our safety,” Alvarado said.
The program will start with a holy mass to be lead by Fr. Gino Herrera followed by the program proper that will be filled with worship songs, scripture readings and prayers.
The prayer for the province will be delivered simultaneously by the representatives of the Four Pillars of Bulacan including Bishop Bert Chan of Baptist Church, Bishop Efraim Perez of Interfaith Bulacan, Rev. Joel Lombos of Cadence and Rev. Cesar Sacdalan of Alliance for Values Formation in Bulacan.
Among the expected participants in the event are officials and employees of the PGB, representatives and students from Bulacan State University and Bulacan Polytechnic College, Comelec and many more.
Himig ng Bulakenyo, the official choral group of the Capitol, with the Hiyas ng Bulacan Brass Band will sing “Lord, Heal our Land”, the theme song of the activity.
