Vice Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado also emphasized the importance of having a clean and healthy environment in order to achieve a healthy community.

The PGB also distributed bags of Micronutrient Powder for more than 3,000 undernourished children in the province, which is good for nine months of use.

The celebration of Nutrition Month is in accordance with Presidential Decree 491 in 1974 declaring that the Nutrition Month should be held every month of July.
