Bulakenyo foodies to taste various food products at BUFFEX

CITY OF MALOLOS – Food lovers from Bulacan and nearby cities and provinces will surely enjoy the four-day Bulacan Food Fair and Exposition (BUFFEX) from September 7-10, 8 am to 5 pm at The Pavillion, Hiyas ng Bulacan Convention Center in this city.
Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado said the event will showcase the best of Bulacan foods as well as the ingenuity and craftsmanship of local entrepreneurs in partnership of the Provincial Government of Bulacan and Bulacan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the project proponent.

“Magkakaroon tayo ng food sampling, on-the-spot cooking demo, chefs on parade at iba pang patimpalak sa pagluluto. Let us support this by inviting others to be part of our continued growth in bringing together different food and beverage industries,” Alvarado added.

The BUFFEX will house various products that are proudly Bulacan-made like ensaymada, puto, pastillas, chicharon, pastries, bread, kakanin, vinegar, soy sauce, bagoong, hampers, and pillow cases among others.

Aside from food and product exhibits, the BUFFEX will also feature relevant talks from experts in business and marketing.

More or less 80 companies and ten local government units will participate in the BUFFEX including officials and employees from the national agencies and local government units, Department of Science and Technology, Department of Trade and Industry, Department of Agriculture, Philippine Exporters Confederation, Inc. (PhilExport), Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry and stakeholders from restaurant and catering services and culinary schools among others.

Now on its third year, BUFFEX by far is the biggest and most successful food selling exhibit in Bulacan.

According to BCCI, the past two years garnered some 140 food exhibitors mostly small and medium entrepreneurs while the show attracted buyers and enthusiasts from all walks of life and also local tourists from Manila.
