Bulakenyo foodies to experience a day of food talk

CITY OF MALOLOS – Food enthusiasts will have a day full of food talk as the Provincial Government of Bulacan through the Provincial History, Arts, Culture and Tourism Office (PHACTO) conducts the first “Bulacan Food Congress” on September 14, 2017, 8 am to 5 pm at the Balagtas Hall, Hiyas ng Bulacan Convention Center here.
PHACTO Head Dr. Eliseo dela Cruz said the whole day will be filled with talks about histories of food in the province, cooking demonstrations and food presentations.
“Ito ay isang araw na puno ng pagkain, mabubusog hindi lamang ang ating mga sikmura sa pagtikim sa iba’t ibang masarap at makasaysayang mga pagkain, kundi mabubusog din ang ating mga isip sa panibagong mga matututunan na nawa ay maibahagi din natin sa iba,” dela Cruz added.
Moreover, Governor Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado said the congress aims to give appreciation to the contribution of Bulakenyo cuisines to the entirety of Filipino culinary and to establish a long term plan on how to continuously promote the cookeries of the province.
The governor added that the said congress also aims to unite the hotel and restaurant owners in Bulacan and encourage them to work hand in hand in promoting and strengthening the food industry in the province.
The program will be attended by foodies, hotel and restaurant owners, tourism related establishments’ and employees among others.
