CITY OF MALOLOS- Bulacan Governor Daniel R. Fernando personally visited the nine families in five residential houses consumed by fire in Brgy. Wawa, Balagtas, Bulacan in their temporary shelter in Wawa Barangay Hall and gave various assistance from the Provincial Government of Bulacan this afternoon.
Fernando brought each family immediate financial assistance from his own pocket, one cavan of rice and sleeping supplies and another P10, 000 cash that is currently on process after the interview today.
“Nauunawaan natin ang nararamdaman ng ating mga kababayan dahil napakahirap talagang masunugan, kaya bukod sa mga ibinigay na natin titingnan natin kung paano pa sila matutulungan,” Fernando said knowing that this is another burden to the families apart from the loss of jobs due to pandemic.
The fire incident that transpired last June 6, 2020 around 4:39 in the afternoon that was raised to second alarm left the said families homeless and also caused the death of Elma Villaseñor, 60 years old.
Calixto Villasenor, 67 years old and husband of the deceased Villasenor, is thankful for the assistance although still grieving for his loss.
Teresita Bustillo also shared her experience during that tragic event.
All of them are asking for assistance in finding temporary shelter or in rebuilding their houses.
