Bulakenya from CSJDM hailed as Natatanging Babae in Gawad Medalyang Ginto

CITY OF MALOLOS – Segunda Bartolome from the City of San Jose Del Monte was hailed as Natatanging Babae in the recently concluded Gawad Medalyang Ginto 2016 held yesterday at The Pavilion, Hiyas ng Bulacan Convention Center in this city.
Prior to this, Bartolome was awarded as ‘Matagumpay na Babaeng Mangangalakal’ in the Gawad Medalyang Ginto 2012.
Other sectoral category winners were Rowena Ocmer from the town of Bustos as ‘Matagumpay na Babaeng Makakalikasan’, Natividad Suaberon from Plaridel as ‘Matagumpay na Ginang ng OFW’, Elenita Felix of Norzagaray as ‘Matagumpay na Babaeng Mangangalakal’ and Justine Joy Mendoza Chua of the CSJDM as ‘Huwarang Kabataang Babae sa Pamumuno’.
Meanwhile, the OFW Family Circle from the town of Norzagaray was hailed as ‘Natatanging Samahang Pangkababaihan’.
Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado said that he has high regard for women who never stop in pursuing their dreams in life and were able to contribute in the society where they belong.
“Makamit nawa ng mga kababaihan ang kalayaang tumulong, makisangkot at manguna sa mga kalalakihan sa pagbuo ng mga bagong pilosopiya sa buhay; mga bagong sistema at pamamaraan ng pamumuhay; mga bagong mithiin at ideyal; mga bagong adhikain at layunin at bagong kamalayan, alang-alang at para sa isang bagong daigdig at bagong kinabukasan”, Alvarado said.
The Panlalawigang Komisyon para sa Kababaihan sa Bulacan (PKKB) led the awarding of trophies and medals for all the winners.
Gawad Medalyang Ginto is given to Bulakenyas who have invaluable contributions to the province and served as inspiration and movers of programs that will uplift the well being and welfare of women.
